About TWC
What TWC is, who it's for, and why it beats a static list of names.
TWC is Canada's logic-driven B2B matchmaking platform. We map where your business sits in the value chain and connect you with suppliers, buyers, and partners with meaningful potential fit, matched by logic, not luck.
Get discovered, discover others, and act on real business intelligence, all in one place. Under the hood, TWC MatchLogic, our proprietary matching technology, models the business context you provide across value-chain roles, capabilities, needs, and strategic objectives. It evaluates multidimensional business compatibility across eight connection categories to identify meaningful alignment and explain why each opportunity may matter, helping you make more informed decisions.
Our mission is bigger than software: to strengthen Canadian competitiveness, power interprovincial trade, and build one connected national business ecosystem.
Any Canadian business that wants to grow through better connections, from a solo founder to a national enterprise, plus the municipalities, chambers, associations, and economic development offices that champion them. If you'd rather be matched with the right partners than spend your week piecing it together from listings, events, and cold outreach, you're exactly who we built this for.
A searchable listing is a great front door: look up Canadian businesses, find your own, and claim it. But a listing still leaves the research, the guesswork, and the outreach to you.
TWC does the reasoning first. You get scored, explained matches tied to your actual value chain, and it works both ways: you're discovering relevant businesses while they're discovering you. It's the difference between looking someone up and being shown who may fit, and why.
Getting Started & Your Profile
Claim your business, build it up, and improve the information that powers your matches.
Search your business name, there's a good chance it's already listed and ready to claim. Claiming is free and takes about 60 seconds. Complete Section 1 to confirm your details, get your unique TWC Business ID, and become discoverable across Canada's growing business ecosystem. When you're ready, keep building your profile so matching and insights sharpen. Not listed yet? Add your business in the same flow.
Yes, free, and no credit card. Claiming does far more than list you. Completing Section 1 lets you:
- Claim and manage your business presence
- Get a unique TWC Business ID
- Become discoverable across Canada's growing business ecosystem
- Receive a 5,000-token welcome gift to explore the platform
During your welcome access, your business can also take part in discovery and matching based on the details you provide, so real opportunities can start surfacing right away. When that period ends, your business stays searchable for free, and you upgrade whenever you want matching, insights, and visibility switched back on.
That's up to you. TWC uses a progressive 9-section model, so you start getting value without filling everything out at once.
- Section 1 claims your business, issues your TWC Business ID, makes you discoverable across Canada's growing business ecosystem, and unlocks your welcome tokens.
- Sections 2 and 3 add business context and switch on matching and TWC Insight Engine analysis. Early results can be broad, because the engine is working with less.
- Sections 4 through 9 go deeper: what you offer, what you need, what sets you apart, your capabilities, and your direction.
Completing more never guarantees a specific outcome, but it gives the technology better information to work from, which means stronger-fit matches, richer insights, and opportunities you may never have spotted. The depth and quality of what you share directly shapes the depth of what you get back.
Because your profile is the engine's fuel, and it should grow as your business does. Every section you complete sharpens your match relevance and reasoning, your Insight Engine analysis, your discoverability, and the cross-industry opportunities we surface.
Think of it as teaching TWC about your business. The more clearly you explain who you are and what you need, the more intelligently we can find the right businesses and show them why you matter. You know your business best; our job is to help the right people discover why it matters.
Yes, and you should keep it current. Update it whenever your products, services, capacity, goals, or needs change, then re-run matching or insights. A refreshed profile can surface different recommendations, because the engine is working from newer, better information. Clear, specific answers beat brief, generic ones every time.
No, and here's the good part: no website, no problem. A website helps a potential partner learn more about you, but it's optional, and it's never required for your business to be contacted. Everyone completes a profile so matching can work, and our Request Introduction feature handles first contact (more on that below). TINA, your built-in co-pilot, can help you fill any gaps as you go.
Matching, Insights & TINA
How matches are made, why they come with reasoning, and the intelligence behind them.
TWC MatchLogic uses proprietary matching technology that doesn't simply evaluate businesses by industry, it evaluates multidimensional business compatibility to identify where the greatest potential for mutual value exists. Behind the scenes it weighs your value-chain position, your products and services, your capabilities and constraints, your market focus, your stated needs, and your relationship potential across all eight categories.
Then it hands you relevant matches, each with a fit score and clear reasoning, so you can size up any opportunity in seconds. Matching is always something you choose to trigger, never an uncontrolled stream of generic leads. As your profile fills in, the recommendations get more tailored, taking you from “who's out there?” to “who's actually relevant to my next move?”
A supply chain is mostly about who makes, moves, and delivers a product, raw materials, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, delivery. A value chain is wider: every relationship that creates value for your business and your customers, including design, technology, financing, marketing, logistics, professional services, partnerships, and growth support.
Take a furniture company. Its supply chain might be lumber suppliers, manufacturing, transport, and delivery. Its value chain also includes designers, technology providers, lenders, marketing partners, and training resources. We use the value-chain lens on purpose, because your best opportunities often live outside your own industry, where a standard supplier search would never look.
We match you across the full value chain:
- Suppliers / Distributors
- Buyers / Clients
- Strategic Collaborators
- Technology Partners
- Financial Partners
- Logistics Networks
- Service Providers
- Growth Resources
Connect opens the one category that matters most to you. Core and Core Plus open all eight.
Match quality scales with your profile. A lighter profile gives you useful, high-level matches; a fuller, more detailed one gives the engine the context for sharper reasoning and stronger strategic fit. Matches are recommendations, not guarantees, so do your own due diligence before you commit, and consult a qualified professional where it matters.
Because a name alone won't tell you whether a connection is worth your time. Behind each recommendation, TWC interprets how your business information interacts with value-chain dynamics, roles, priorities, and potential mutual value, then gives you a concise explanation of that fit (without revealing our proprietary methods). For each match you'll typically see:
- The nature of the alignment
- The opportunity the relationship could represent
- The connection category it falls under
- Practical next-step considerations
Clarity at the point of discovery, so you decide what deserves a deeper look.
Our technology weighs multidimensional compatibility and value-chain relationships to find the strongest potential for mutual value, based on the information available at the time. A recommendation doesn't mean one company is universally “better” than another; it means the business shown had the most relevant alignment for that specific category, need, or opportunity. Recommendations evolve as you update your profile, others improve theirs, and new businesses join.
A few things affect how many opportunities surface. The most common:
- Only part of your profile is complete
- Answers are brief, generic, or incomplete
- Products, services, or target markets aren't clearly described
- Needs, constraints, or goals are too broad
- Key Sections 4 to 9 have been skipped
- You operate in a highly specialized niche with fewer compatible businesses right now
- Your chosen category, geography, or filters are narrow
Your results aren't fixed. Sharpen your answers, keep your information current, and re-run matching, and your matches and insights may continue to improve as your profile develops and more Canadian businesses join.
It's your business, analyzed end to end: a clear read on your strategic position, your strengths, your gaps across the value chain, your competitive advantages, and the focus areas worth your attention next. It provides a structured strategic briefing designed to help you understand your position, priorities, and potential next steps, and it helps identify potential partners that may be relevant to addressing those gaps. It's a decision-support tool, not an audit, valuation, or professional advice.
TINA is your built-in Business Co-Pilot for research, drafting, planning, sharpening your profile, and navigating TWC, all in one workspace. She can help you tighten your descriptions, explore ideas, and prep business communications. TINA is included on Core and above, and during your welcome access. Like any automated assistant, her responses can contain errors, so review anything important and consult a professional where it counts.
This is how connections actually begin, and it's brilliant if you don't have a website. Next to any eligible match, either side can click Request Introduction, and our system sends an automatic introduction using the public contact details each business has chosen to share. The introduction includes:
- Public contact details
- The connection category they matched you in
- A concise snippet of the match reasoning
- A short summary of their company
So you instantly know who wants to connect, why you surfaced, and who they are, and it works exactly the same way when you reach out to them. One requirement: Request Introduction only works when the “shown publicly” contact fields in Section 1 are filled, so complete those to make sure opportunities can reach you. It starts the conversation; it doesn't guarantee a reply or a deal.
Visibility & Business Discovery
What other businesses can actually see, and how purposeful visibility works.
TWC is built for purpose-driven visibility, not unrestricted exposure. Other businesses cannot browse your full, detailed profile. You surface in two ways:
- Through search and discovery, where your public identifiers may appear, business name, city and province, category, website, and social links
- Through a relevant match, where the platform shows a concise, system-generated summary and reasoning that explains why you fit
You choose which contact details are public, and you're always in control of who you engage.
xNOW & xCAPACITY Live Boards
Move time-sensitive offerings, and put underused business capacity to work.
They're your live commercial boards, and they turn TWC from a place you get matched into a place where deals move. Commercial use only, no personal listings.
xNOW is for immediate commercial offerings you want to move fast, matched to businesses across Canada that need them. For example:
- Excess or overstock inventory
- Clearance or discontinued lines
- Perishables approaching date
- Seasonal or cancelled-order stock
- Liquidation goods
- Agricultural surplus
- Recoverable materials and commercial scrap
xCAPACITY is for things you own and would rather share for a while than sell, put what's sitting idle to work, or find capacity you need without buying it. For example:
- Spare warehouse or cold-storage space
- Idle meeting or training rooms
- Unused production or machinery time
- Spare fleet capacity
- Commercial-kitchen or laboratory capacity
- Specialized tools or equipment
- Available project teams
- Unused commercial software licences
Posting is a paid feature. Core includes a monthly posting allowance, and Core Plus raises it substantially for businesses that live on the boards. Free and Connect members can browse and upgrade to post when they're ready, and extra posts can be purchased as add-ons.
