Recipe Unlimited Corporation

Founded in 1883 as Canada Railway News Company, selling newspapers and confectionaries at railway stations. Roots trace to mid-1850s when Thomas Patrick Phelan sold apples and newspapers to train passengers. Evolved into Cara Operations in 1961, and rebranded to Recipe Unlimited in 2018, becoming Canada's largest full-service restaurant company through strategic acquisitions and brand development.
