Gordon Food Service began Canadian operations in 1996 through a series of acquisitions, forming Gordon Food Service Canada. The parent company was founded over 125 years ago with a $300 loan and has grown to become North America's largest family-operated foodservice distributor, expanding into Canada to serve the growing foodservice market.
